ICUA Youth Rally & Scholarship - Sponsored By UAMPS

UAMPS to Sponsor Youth to Attend and Award a Scholarship UAMPS will award four (4) youth an invitation to attend an all-paid round trip between Salt Lake City and Nampa, Idaho to attend the Youth Rally from July 6-10, 2026 at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa (the “UAMPS Sponsorship”). The UAMPS Sponsorship is awarded to essay contest winners who desire to learn more about the electric utility industry. Each of the four (4) winners will also receive a $500
scholarship from UAMPS for their essay submissions. Youth will have the opportunity to win additional scholarship money at the Youth Rally.

Important dates regarding the ICUA Youth Rally:

Essay entries shall be submitted to the governing body of the consumer-owned utility (UAMPS member) by
April 3, 2026. (The governing body may appoint a separate individual or group to judge entries.). The Member
will send its winning essay to UAMPS for entry in the final selection of the UAMPS Sponsorships. The deadline
for submitting essay entries to UAMPS is April 10, 2026. The executive committee of UAMPS will select the
final four (4) essay winners, with an announcement via email by April 27, 2026.

ICUA Youth Rally highlights:

• All winners receive a $500 scholarship from UAMPS and a trip to a FREE summer camp.
• To apply, all students need to do is submit a short essay to their utility – with the assigned prompt on the application form.
• Applications are for high school Sophomores and Juniors (since one student from the group gets voted to return to the Rally, Seniors do not qualify. They might be off to college the next year.)
• All-expenses paid round trip between Salt Lake City and Idaho (winners will have to get themselves to Salt Lake City and home from Salt Lake City).
• Potential to earn more than the given $500 in scholarship money at the camp.

• The flyers are great to send out with power bills or even in emails! They are also great to hang up at local spots around town, such as recreation centers and libraries.
