RFP - 900 West Water & Power Improvement Projects

Hyrum City, Utah is requesting sealed bids for the 2025 Public Works 900 West Water & Power Improvement Projects in Hyrum, Utah. Bids will be received by Todd Perkins at the City’s Office until 10:30 am Mountain time [Wednesday, May 7, 2025] at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project includes: installation of approximately 2300 linear feet of new 10’ diameter PVC waterline with appurtenant valves, hydrants, fittings, and service laterals, from 300 North to 700 North in 900 West; abandonment of the existing 8” waterline; burial of three 3-inch diameter, owner supplied conduits for relocating the overhead powerline along the same corridor and adjacent to the waterline. The work also includes the supply, installation and replacement of road base, asphalt pavement, and appurtenant facilities needed to repair the utility trenching and complete construction of the 500 North intersection as
shown in the Project Documents.

Two additional Schedules of work, intended to be awarded to the same contractor, depending on timing and permits, include Schedule 2: construction/installation of a concrete headwall with canal gate structure, manholes, irrigation pipeline extensions and installation of owner supplied 16” pressurized irrigation pipeline, valves and appurtenances, and Schedule 3: work considered as part of the crossing of the O.S.L.R.R. (Union Pacific Railroad) with the same utilities (water and power), using the jacking and boring process for a length of approximately 90 feet for each utility in a 24-inch diameter steel casing for
each utility (4 electrical conduits in one 24-inch diameter casing and the 10” waterline in the other 24-inch
casing).

A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% must accompany each Bid. Hyrum City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or items within a bid, at it’s sole discretion. Only bids giving a firm quotation, properly signed, will be accepted. All bids are subject to applicable Utah laws and regulations. The Owner will not award the Contract to a Bidder who is not properly licensed in Utah or if the Contract would exceed the limit of the Bidder’s license at the time of award.
